BXR

BXR is a boutique gym and spa on Chiltern Street, London, built around a boxing theme. We were appointed as project managers and cost consultants to manage the process, the costs and the build.

The fit-out spans a basement of studios, spin rooms and changing facilities, and a ground floor gym with a boxing ring, free weights and cardio equipment, with a five-star specification that includes steam rooms, a sauna and treatment rooms. Because the gym sits directly beneath residential apartments, acoustic separation governed the technical solution, and holding that five-star specification to a fixed cost plan on a short construction programme was the real test of the appointment. BXR has since drawn considerable media attention, backed by celebrity investors including heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
